Classic muscle car that’s not familiar with many car fans. It is, however, popular in the racing circuit where the Oldsmobile 442 has been tearing up the tracks. 4-4-2 stands for four barrel, four speed, and twin exhaust. Top of the line is the Oldsmobile 442 W-30 that came standard with a 370 horsepower V-8.

Voting Question: Automatic choke to manual?
1965 oldsmobile cutlass 442. In throwing the old rochester 4GC and replacing It with a edelbrock 1405 600CFM proformer. I am not using a choke. I think it's a waste of time but, I am completly clue less on what to do with the automatic vacuum coming out of the manafold. Is there a close off plate I can buy or what? Also the fuel line coming from the fuel pump to the carb, it has a metal line that will not reach the new carb. I need to know what I will need for that. Please help. Thanks

I recently started restoring my 1969 Oldsmobile 442 (#'s matching) but I am concerned if I change the interior color and the exterior color it will lose value. If I change the color of the interior or the exterior will it be worth less in value? thanks

I have a 1987 442 oldsmobile. Yesterday I changed the heater core and during the process I broke off the heater control valve (it's plastic). I tried to go to local auto part stores but the only replacement that they have are metal ones and they don't fit. What would be the best solution?

Hey guys, Im almost 16 and have narrowed down my choices for a first car. Ive done alot of research and i thought'd i'd ask the people, Which one of these two cars are better quality wise, and reliability wise? my relatives have owned both of these cars and both loved them.
Im sorry, ive been looking for 1980's 442's, so basically alot alike. My dads a big oldsmobile-buick guy so hes go to green on both choices
