How dependable are they? I've heard several different things about them. Some say that they have serious problems during the first 6 months of ownership and others say that they're extremly dependable. So which is it? I'm not concerned about the repairs or anything, but I want something that is going to be dependable. Also, i'm not really expecting Lexus reliability here, but how often does the S-class have problems? Also, do the problems increase/decrease depending on the trim level you buy? for instance, is the S600 more dependable than the S550 or is it the other way around? I had a 560 SEL back in the early 90's and never had problems, but i've heard that Merc's quality has severly decreased in recent years. I will be buying a new/newer one, 2008-2010. any info will be greatly appreciated.
