The most popular 1993 Mazda RX-7 was the red one driven by Vin Diesel in the first The Fast & The Furious movie. That car was powered by a stock 255 hp twin-turbocharged rotary engine. The exterior was modified with a Veilside body kit, Lexan headlight covers, and aluminum struts. The tires were Toyo ZR18s and the wheels were 18″ Veilsides.

Open Question: In 1993, Mazda RX-7 was Playboy Magazines car of the year. What issue was that article featured?
I want to get a copy of the Playboy Magazine that featured the 1993 car of the year, the Mazda RX-7. I know they tested it against the Dodge Viper and determined the RX-7 the better of the two but I can't seem to find which month that was.
Help as I want to get a copy for a gift!

Open Question: First car - fiero, mr2, dodge daytona, supra, rx-7...?
Well, I was thinking stick...and since I have about 00 (including tax, title, etc) to spend I'm only limited to what used cars I seem to like. I was thinking Pontiac Fiero (87-88), Toyota Supra, Toyota MR2, Mazda RX-7, or Dodge Daytona. I am just looking for any one of these that are close, well maintained, and, well, cheap. It will be my only transportation, but I will be able to learn to work on it (that's half the fun, right?!). So I would appriciate any input, not limited to personal experience though. Btw, all these cars look similar with pop-up headlights and rear-wheel drive, so if you get where I'm coming from...oh yeah, i live in ohio so weather is sort of an issue, but not much, since I'm not a dumbass at driving...

Is It Worth Buying A Mazda RX-7 with 160,315 miles on it and the motor (rotary) was just rebuilt in it at 140,000 miles for ,995?btw i just need it to go to work and back which is about 5 miles away.

I am interested in purchasing a 1984 Mazda rx-7, assuming my mechanic checks it out and everything is good for the time being, how expensive are repairs and maintenance on them and how hard is it to find parts for them today?
