Chevrolet SSR Diecast
Fantastic hybrid between a roadster / convertible and a small pick-up truck. Powered by a 300 horsepower V-8, the SSR is no joke on the road. Here in California, I see them a lot. They look sleek and sweet on the road. There are some factory paint jobs that are reminiscent of hot rods. However, I’m sure that custom paint job, limited only by one’s imagination, make for much better eye candy.
Below are 1/18 diecast cars. Listings for Chevy SSR for sale are on eBay.

Resolved Question: help with radio control car mhz compability as original controller missing so need new one advice?
i have an old fast lane SSR Chevrolet rc car (says on bottom 2003). it has a sticker on the bottom that says 40.685 MHz. the original controller is missing so need to buy a new one. just for sake of argument lets say the original controller is broken and binned 2 years ago so i don't get a reply saying ''just find the original controller...'' anyways since the car runs on 40.685mhz will any radio controller that operates on 40.685 mhz work with it? found these on ebay, they run on same mhz: item 1 number: 130506968493 item 2 number: 170566160927 item 3 number: 150577846077 this item shows the brand of car i have, i got the chevy, not the jeep as shown. item 4 number: 130518353583 from the 1st 3 items i plan to get the 3rd [item 3] one as its the cheapest. it runs on the same mhz as my car. just want to make sure it will work. also what about the channels? as some controllers have 3 - 5 channel. what does that mean? all i want is to be able to fully control my car that runs on 40.685 mhz with a replacement Controller on the same mhz for as cheap as possible. since the rc car is from 2003, and its 2011 now i assume the company has shut down or gone bust??? cant find it by googling. if the company is open and running how much would a replacement be from them? or shall i just go for the cheaper alternative. someone with experience with radio controlled cars please reply and advise me !! out the 3 links provided will any of them work? (4th item is similar to my car so just thought id give the link) thanks cant find same one to buy and cant find company by google search. these are from 2003 so will be hard to find a replacement cant find same one to buy and cant find company by google search. these are from 2003 so will be hard to find a replacement

(4th link is similar to my car so just thought id give the link) thanks it DID come with a controller but its missing! hence the search for a replacement ... read through the thing and you will notice it says there for argument sake the controller broke. if you understood that part then you would have known that it came as a set but over the years the controller has gone AWOL. i have also posted this Q in toys so to get more of a response. since its not modular i assume getting any replacement controller on 40.685mhz will not work. i get the channels now. so all you had to say was ''no sir, it is not going to work as the frequency will not send the data to control it.'' it DID come with a controller but its missing! hence the search for a replacement ... read through the thing and you will notice it says there for argument sake the controller broke. if you understood that part then you would have known that it came as a set but over the years the controller has gone AWOL. i have also posted this Q in toys so to get more of a response. since its not modular i assume getting any replacement controller on 40.685mhz will not work. i get the channels now. so all you had to say was ''no sir, it is not going to work as the frequency will not send the data to control it.''

Resolved Question: What car or truck should I purchase to be a future collectible?
I plan on purchasing a vehicle that is fun and will most likely be collectible. I would just drive it in nice weather and would put little mileage on it. I would be able to spend up to around ,000. Whatever I purchase, it needs to be reliable/easily serviced, somewhat comfortable (able to fit in at 6'2" tall), under 35,000 miles (approx.), and fairly fast. I would prefer a convertible, but it is not a necessity. I have been considering the following: Honda s2000 BMW Z4 3.0 Audi TT Quattro Roadster Dodge Ram SRT-10 Chrysler Crossfire (coupe and roadster) Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 Coupe Subaru WRX STi 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO 2001-2003 Corvette Z06 Chevrolet SSR Mazda RX-8 Nissan 350Z Toyota MR2 Spyder Porsche Boxster and Boxster S BMW M Roadster (Z3) Mazdaspeed MX-5 If anyone has any personal experience with any of these, please let me know. Think you know what will be a wise investment? Let me know. Advice of any kind is appreciated.
