Open Question: 2006 Pontiac G6 V6 Power Steering?
I bought one and love it. When I was driving it home after I bought it, I noticed how easy it was to turn the steering wheel, and how responsive it was; I loved it. But two days after I brought it home I heard a beep and noticed that the display on the dash said "POWER STEERING" across it (and it has happened a few times). I never noticed any decline in the ease of steering, till this happened. I have been reading up on power steering problems with this vehicle on the internet and have noticed that the power steering has gone out on many units. Doesn't when the power steering goes out, mean that it is incredibly hard to turn? Well it is still possible to turn, with ease, just not as fluid as a week ago. Has anyone else had this show up on their car? if so, what was wrong, what did you do about it?

im looking to buy a used car. im stuck between a 2008 chevy cobalt special edition (10,000 miles) for ,500... and a 2007 pontiac G6 (47,000 miles) for ,900. the cobalt has a tiny bit of body damage, a few scrapes on the drivers side door that aren't easily fixed, but the pontiac is in excellent condition. i really don't know much about cars. which ones better quality, which ones faster/more power, etc. i just wanna know which is the better deal? thanks!
