Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am Diecast
The Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am has played a handful of major roles in American cinema. The 1977 model partnered with Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. In 1982, it played KITT in TV’s Knight Rider with David Hasselhoff. It was also in Cannonball Run and a few more movies. As part of GM’s bankruptcy plan, the Pontiac brand is set to be phased out, making these beauties collectible cars.

Resolved Question: 1994 Pontiac firebird "formula v8" transmission same as 94 trans am?
I have a 1994 Pontiac firebird Formula LT1 v8. i might need a new transmission and a friend of mine has a trans am With the same engine as mine. But I heard rumors that a formula has a bigger transmission? Is that true or do they have the EXACT SAME transmission so I can just put his in my car.

Resolved Question: Firebird/Trans Am tail light question?
Hi I have a 98 Pontiac Trans Am ls1 with the honeycomb tail lights. The thing is that my passenger tail light is darker than normal cause of water getting inside it, so I want to replace it. I was wondering if both the v6 and v8 Firebirds/Trans Ams have the same type of tail light? By that i mean if they are all the same size and color and everything, and what about the ws6 tail lights? I want to find a passenger side tail light that looks exactly like my drivers side tail light.
Resolved Question: Rear hatch release issue on 1998 Pontiac Firebird?
So my trans am's rear hatch suddenly only opens by using the key. Neither the button under the dash or the one on my key chain will work. It does make the sound like the hatch is unlocking but no such luck getting it open. Any ideas or suggestions? I'm wondering if there is a switch I accidentally clicked to make it key only opening?
Resolved Question: Value of 1986 pontiac firebird trans am Restored?
How do you find out the value of a car if there is a limited number of cars from production as well as it's 25+ years of age. I've heard that this car has caused some controversy due to it's type model and year. I'm not interested in controversy just the facts. Kelly blue book and cars.com don't go that far back. I'm looking to restore it back to it's showroom luster, but I'm just wanting to know if it's going to be worth the time and effort I put into it aside from it being a toy.
I do appreciate the input. Didn't care for the slap in the face comments. I looked up the car and found out that only 26 was produced of this type due to a vapor lock problem. NOT!!! looking to sell it. If anything I was thinking about passing it to one of my kids. I like this car and tinkering with them is fun. I still plan to restore it and I know it's going to take me some time. If anyone can give me an answer and not a insult I'm more then willing to listen. thank you again
