Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am
The Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am has played a handful of major roles in American cinema. The 1977 model partnered with Burt Reynolds in Smokey and the Bandit. In 1982, it played KITT in TV’s Knight Rider with David Hasselhoff. It was also in Cannonball Run and a few more movies. As part of GM’s bankruptcy plan, the Pontiac brand is set to be phased out, making these beauties collectible cars.

Open Question: 1979 Trans Am and Firebird Parts,?
I was looking on Jegs.com for headers for my 1979 Trans Am, and all i see when looking into sections and the 1979>Pontiac>Firebird>Parts section, there is no Trans Am section where you choose the car type,
I have the 403 V8 model, (i don't know if they made them for the firebirds), but are the parts interchangeable between the two cars? like if it says it will fit a 1979 403 V8 Firebird, will it fit the trans am also?
are there any trans am specific sites i can get parts off of, mainly looking for stainless magnaflow pipes, mufflers and Hooker Headers, and maybe an electric fan to replace the engine fan,

Voting Question: My 1997 Pontiac Firebird has been studdering on acceleration at operating temperature. Don't know whats wrong?
I've been taking extremely good care of my car and has all the general maintenance done regularly. The plugs, wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, egr, alternator, water pump and a few other things are all new within the last year and I still get a studder when I accelerate, BUT!!! It only happens when the engine is at 210 degrees (operating temp). This studder is not intergral, its sporadic. I had shops look at it but they can't figure it out. I'm flat out stuck and need some opinions on what may be wrong. The car is a 1997 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am Convertible. Any advice at this point would be AWESOME!!! Thanks!
