Open Question: WHAT CAR CAN I BUY BEING A 17 YEAR OLD STUDENT?
i've tried researching all of this, but i got told that i can't get a car unless i have a credit, with a full time job. I only work part time, as i'm in full education. What's the cheapest car i can get and get insured for? (preferably smart car or mini cooper! but anythingggg!) PLEASE HELP!

Resolved Question: Is the Jeep brand safe?
More specifically, the Jeep Commander. I'll be sixteen soon and am looking for a car, seeing as how I'll start college next year and probably getting a job.
Originally I wanted a Mini Cooper, yeah- dream big! Now, I am a bit more realistic. My heart is now set on a Jeep Commander any year, really. However, when I proposed the idea to my dad he said that there was no way he was getting me ANY Jeep because they weren't safe. He backed himself up by saying that they were made for off-road and he had a co-worker that got flipped over in his Jeep.
My logic is that any car will have it's safety problems unless it is made for His Royal Badness. The problem with the Mini-Cooper would have been that it is so small, it would be destroyed in an accident.
But are Jeeps even less reliable than your average car?
My question is how safe are Jeeps?
Are some models more reliable than others?
How about as a first-time car for a teenager?
Does it make a difference in the safety, for better or worse, if I live in the city?
What is your experience with it, if you have/had one?
And lastly, if you were to recommend another car (based on the similarity in look of the vehicle), which would you recommend?
Open Question: Are MINI's Coopers expensive to maintain?
I'm thinking about buying a 2005 S type automatic with around 60k miles on it, but I am afraid of their repairs and maintenance? Are they expensive as BMW's?

Hey guys, I been looking at cars for a while and the ones I particularly have my eye on for now are the
Eclipse, Tiburon (GT), Acura RSX(S), Lexus IS 300, Passat GLS(X), John Cooper Mini Works
So what are some other ones preferably moderately reliable fun to drive look cool and are somewhat fast and in the 5-10k bluebook or marketing value it can be coupe or not but it must be a little sporty. Also I'm looking for something that is in the 2000-2008 price-range not in the 90's or older.. Please no G6's Cobalts, Grand Ams, Impalas, Monte Carlos that's not sporty enough for me..

Resolved Question: How do I repair mini cooper door speakers?
I have a 2005 mini cooper s with the h/k system. Both of my door speakers have blown and are unbearable. I have no idea whatsoever on how to replace them or what speakers to buy to replace them with. If anyone could tell me the exact parts I would need for the replacement and any tips on how to replace them myself it would be highly appreciated.
