Voting Question: Total Loss Car Accident?
I was rear-ended in a car accident a few months ago; it was not my fault and they deemed my car a "total loss". What I don't understand is that the repairs amount to 0+ and my car's "kelley blue book" value ranges from ,150 to ,500. I don't understand why I am getting a 0 check and I don't get to keep my car! The accident was entirely the fault of the person who rear ended me, so I would like some clarification here please!!! :(

Resolved Question: i *just purchased a dying car unknowingly, can i take legal action against a private car dealer?
recently, my husband and i bought a 2002 automatic mini cooper. we were very pleased to purchase it at a good price. the car's transmission went out just a little over a month after buying the car!! the mechanic said this is something that had been going on for a long time, the previous owners must have known. can or should we take legal action?what should we do? we have proof of purchase.
*also, a new transmission and labor racks us at about ,000- almost exactly what we paid for the whole car!
*the seller informed us that prior to selling the car, he had it checked by a michanic that supposedly said the car was in fine shape; contrary to what was told to us the michanic informed us it was prolonged damage
Resolved Question: Should I buy a 2004 MINI Cooper S?
I'm going to buy a car in a few days, and there's a really nice black 2004 Cooper S near my house. It white sport stripes, xenons, dual pane moon roof, automatic AC, and other NICE luxuries. The other car I'm considering is a new 2009 Corolla S, magnetic gray metallic with a moonroof. Both are close in price, within about 500 bucks of each other. I know the corolla will probably be more reliable in the long run, but I am happier with the Cooper. Are Cooper's reliable? even a 2004? I'm confused. I can't drive stick either, and the cooper's stick, but I can definitely learn.
