Voting Question: My Transmission won't manually go into 1 gear?
I have a 2000 ford svt lightning(f 150) and when I try to put it in first it won't go but it will go into second. when I put it into overdrive it will shift like normal so I am left scratching my head. Any questions or comments are greatly appreciated.

i just sold my 89 mustang gt and i am looking for a pickup. i was impressed with the mustangs easy modifications for the 5.0. what kind of pickup would offer easy mods for power and performance 4x4 or 2x4 mostlikely automatic. i heard the 5.0 in the older f150 was not recomended.dont have enough money for svt lightning or 454ss. i would like something that could be easily modified to be faster than the mustang. ford gmc chevy whatever. what do you think. thanks
Resolved Question: Which car should I buy?
Just received a lump sum of money and need help deciding what car to buy out of 4 choices.
Dodge SRT-10: very expensive up front, bad gas mileage but great truck 500 hp.
Ford SVT Lightning: Cheaper to own up front, can work on to equal the dodge truck, very little difference in gas mileage, cheaper to own but not as nice as dodge.
Subaru WRX STI: cheaper gas by a little, not as usable as a truck, more expensive insurance, 4 wheel drive
Honda civic SI: cheapest up front and can use the saved money to work on car and equal subaru but not 4 wheel drive, cheapest gas mileage and insurance. Not as good as others in long run.
